About Us

Our Mission

We destigmatize and educate the community on the mental health issues surrounding us today by providing help and resources.

Our Work

We aim to provide accessible and comprehensive mental health support through community-driven donation projects, educational resources, and coping toolkits.  Through drives that collect donations for local mental health facilities, we foster a cycle of care where community support is vital. By promoting awareness, offering practical tools for coping, and reaching an audience that shares our values, we work to destigmatize mental health and build a more supportive world.

Our Story

It started with a question we couldn’t answer:
How can I get help?

As students, we experienced firsthand how hard it is to find reliable mental health support and information. So we started a NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) chapter at our high school to change that for the people around us. In just its first year, that chapter hosted more than eight events and reached over half of the student body.

Somewhere along the way, it became impossible to ignore that the need didn’t stop at our school. Families, neighbors, and whole communities were asking the same question we asked: how do I get help? So we founded The STAY Project to bring that same accessible, judgment-free mental health support to the wider community.

We believe that a lack of support comes from a lack of understanding. We hope to grow the understanding of those around us while doing what we can to support those in need.
